One of the world’s most prominent footballers, Lionel Messi, made a surprise transfer this year to join Inter Miami CF, co-owned by David Beckham, of Major League Soccer (MLS).
Designer Jorge Luis Veliz recently shared photos of the couple’s futuristic concept home, which is estimated to be worth $50 million (approximately Rs 413 crore), on social media. Veliz has shared the futuristic concept of the 2022 World Cup-winning footballer’s new home – a jaw-dropping mansion located on a boat-shaped island, offering the couple seclusion and exclusivity. The three floors of the mansion are a work of art in contemporary design. Here are some new, never-before-seen images to back up my claim.
The 36-year-old reportedly turned down an offer from Saudi side Al-Hilal that would have paid him $300 million (roughly Rs. 2.5 billion) annually. Instead, Inter Milan co-owner Jorge Mas announced that he has secured a contract with an MLS franchise that will pay him between $50-60 million per year (roughly Rs. 413-496 million). Messi will still earn millions of dollars through endorsements such as his exclusive revenue-sharing deal with Adidas, although the amount is less than what Al-Hilal offered him. According to ESPN, he will also share in the earnings from MLS fans who subscribe to Apple’s Life Pass.
With Messi’s new contract worth an estimated $600 million (roughly Rs. 4,965 crore), the Argentine footballer will soon be able to afford a brand new, custom-built mansion equipped with every amenity imaginable. There will be a theatre, a games room, a football pitch, a spiral-designed water slide, a yacht harbour, parking for 20 cars, a beautifully decorated party hall, three helipads and more in his new mansion. The house also boasts a spectacular panoramic view of the picturesque Miami coastline. Here are some never-before-seen images of Messi’s M-shaped mansion in Miami.
In 2019, Messi reportedly purchased a beachfront condo in the Sunny Isles Beach region, Architectural Digest reported. The Porsche Design Tower condo is 3,555 square feet in size and features three bedrooms. Among its many cutting-edge features are a private pool on a terrace, a car-transporting elevator made of glass, and much more.
Two years after his previous purchase, in 2021, Messi spent over $7.3 million (approximately Rs 60 crore) on a penthouse in Miami. The penthouse contains four bedrooms, a spa, a fitness and yoga studio, and a children’s playhouse, and is on the ninth floor of the Regalia Tower. The views of the Miami skyline are spectacular. Messi reportedly put the house up for sale just a few months after purchasing it, The Sun reported.
The world champion footballer has made significant real estate investments and now owns multi-million dollar homes in Iztapalapa, Barcelona and Rosario (Messi’s residence). See all his investments here.
