Wiley is one of the military wolfdogs who rehabilitate veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder when they return from combat, according to the YouTube account SarahandtheWolves.
Military wolfdogs provide rehabilitation and care to veterans through LARC, the Lockwood Animal Rescue Center, which specializes in the care of wolfdogs and horses.
The user also gave an explanation to allay any fears about Wiley’s health.
“I’m not a veterinarian, so I can’t say if he reverse sneezes like some of you,” SarahandtheWolves explained.
“I can assure you he has never done anything like this before or since.” I may be romanticizing his behavior, but this is how I deal with loss…”
“I also tell people who think they are dying that they are not.” The sanctuary vet, Wiley, is amazing.”
