Djokovic’s secret to keeping his family happy

Novak Djokovic has just won his 6th title at the ATP Finals after defeating Casper Ruud on Sunday. Tennis fans couldn’t miss the fact that some special people were in Novak’s box. Once again, the Serbian ace had the opportunity to be watched by his children and wife. It’s sometimes controversial if it’s suitable for children of top tennis players to witness their matches, especially if things become tense. Roger Federer said that he was happy to see his children in his box if there was not much tension around them. However, as of Now, Novak sees no harm in it.

During the press conference that followed his final in Turin, Novak commented:

Having my family here has a very positive influence”

“ I’m very grateful to my wife and my children for coming. I don’t get to have these moments on the tour with them so much, so I of course try to enjoy it as much as I possibly can.

Of course, they make my life on the tour easier. The pressures, the expectations, the tensions that you normally go through on a big tournament like this, when they’re around, it lowers a bit so I can have that time off, quality time with my family. T

That really soothes me and gives me serenity in order to recalibrate and play my best tennis the next day. I don’t know how many tournaments more I’m going to get this opportunity have them all. I cherish these moments a lot. Hopefully, as [they] grow older, they’ll realize even more what special moments we’re living together.”
