Ronaldo injured his knee in the Arab Club Champions Cup final against Al-Hilal. He missed training and a league match against Al-Ittifaq as a result.
But his return to training was marked by his attendance at the club’s new signing’s event.
Fans did not have to worry as the world-famous personality came to Al-Awal Park stadium for a normal training session that included exercises with the team. Fans who watched the team train after the cup presentation expressed their concern that Ronaldo was injured. People still in the stands were encouraged by his promise to actively participate and be ready for future games.
Ronaldo’s return came at the same time as Luis Castro, Al-Nassr’s Portuguese coach, said the team would compete for all titles and could make more deals. Castro’s promise further excited fans. They want their team to do well in both domestic and foreign competitions.
Ronaldo returned, but Senegalese winger Sadio Mane was unable to train because he needed to make sure he recovered from the recent matches against Al-Hilal and Al-Ittifaq. During the training, Mane did physical exercises on his own.
Before the training session at Al-Awal Park, Castro spoke to the fans and said he was confident that the team was ready for the new season and hinted at some new players who would join the team soon. He stressed that the team was dedicated to winning titles and achieving its goals.
The 25-minute ceremony in honour of the Arab club champions took place at Riyadh’s Al-Awal Park pitch. To show their appreciation, team stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané signed and threw footballs to the delighted fans.
